Meet Barril — our long, low, and irresistibly lovable mystery mix.

With his wavy, reddish-brown fur, stocky build and unique strut (think: full-body wiggle), Barril looks like a retired surfer with a dad bod — and honestly, we’re convinced he believes he is. He may have arrived carrying a few extra kilos, but he’s since slimmed down and is surprisingly fit, energetic, and always ready to go for a walk.

Barril is full of personality. He’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh without trying — a true character. His goofy charm, big smile, and happy trot are impossible not to love.

He adores humans and cuddles, and after a good walk, you’ll often find him curled up in your lap like a lapdog (despite being shaped more like a loaf of bread). He’s affectionate, sweet, and loves being close to his people.

Sometimes, in moments of over-excitement, he gets a little nibbly during play — not aggressive, just a bit too enthusiastic. A chew toy, a bit of patience, and a calm home environment will go a long way here.

He gets along well with other dogs — both male and female — and currently shares his space happily with his BFF Cajou.
