I might look like a lot.

Okay, I am a lot: just over 30 kg of young, happy dog who sometimes forgets he is not a tiny puppy anymore.

My name is Evan (DOB 30.06.2023, neutered, vaccinated, chipped). I am big, clever, energetic and still learning how to use all of that properly.

At first, I can be quite timid when someone enters my area, although I may bark protectively when people walk past. With calm, clear and confident handling, I become a completely different dog.

Once I am on the lead, I settle beautifully. Volunteers describe me as great on walks, eager to learn, treat-motivated and very responsive. I enjoy running in the garden, I am starting to play with balls, and I am making progress every day.

I am friendly with other dogs and I have a soft, loyal side. But I am not a beginner dog. I have livestock guardian blood in me and need experienced people who understand structure, patience, clear boundaries and kind leadership.

The refuge is getting boring for a young, smart dog like me. I need a home where I can keep learning, bonding and growing into the amazing dog I can be.

So yes, I might look like a lot.

But really? I am just over 30 kg of potential, loyalty and puppy-brain, waiting for the right person to say: “I’ve got you.”
